Maybe you need some pointers in the gym or maybe you're not doing everything that you could be to maximize gains.  Maybe you're having a hard time mentally.

A lot of them seem like they may not have much to do with bodybuilding but if you apply them right they will.

Here's a list of the top 10.

1. Be Consistent

This is the most important. You will not see results if you are not consistently trying to better yourself. This means you need to go to the gym even on the days you don't want to.

2. Write Down Your Goals

This is a good way to help you stay on track with your goals. By looking at them every day you will be reminded of where you want to be in the next months or year.

Whether it be a certain amount of weight you want to gain or lose, or if you want to lift a certain weight, WRITE IT DOWN!

3. Make Those Goals a Priority

That means they come first. If you have a busy day that means you're getting up at 5 A.M. to go to the gym because you are that hungry to reach your goals. It becomes a lifestyle for you.

A lot of people cannot commit to this but you can. That's what will set you apart from the rest.

4. Form Over Weight

Half reps don't get you anywhere. Do the full rep with the correct form before you think about bumping up the weight.

5. Never Be Satisfied

Always look to improve. Bodybuilding is like going up the down escalator. The moment you stop is the moment you start going backwards.

Always strive to reach that next step and push yourself everyday.

6. Realize How Far You've Come

Is this a contradiction to the last one? No.

It's important to look at where you started because sometimes it will get frustrating how slow you're progressing. Looking back on how far you come will give you motivation to continue forward!

7. Don't Compare Yourself to Others

Bodybuilding is a You vs. You sport. It's not about being bigger than the other guy it's about being better everyday for yourself.

Don't look at other people and say, "I'm not as big as them or as strong as them." It doesn't matter. You're there to do the best you can and that's all anyone can ask of you.

8. Be Humble

How is this part of bodybuilding tips? The truth is once you start seeing some muscle gains you're going to want to flaunt them. Don't. Be the humble giant. Nobody likes a meat head who makes sure everyone knows he lifts 8 hours a day 7 days a week.

9. Teach Others

Spread your knowledge of the sport. Bring your friends and family to the gym and get them motivated. This journey is a lot easier with people you care about.

But don't be condescending when you teach them.

10. Keep It Simple

The best for last. The simplest answer usually is the right answer. Just lift hard with good form consistently and you will see results.
