Bodybuilding Workouts

Bodybuilding workouts are all about gaining as much muscle as possible. The best way to grow your muscles is by tearing them down. 

Seems counterproductive but it's like that saying what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. When you tear your muscles on a microscopic level they grow back bigger and stronger. If you'd like to learn a little bit more about growing muscle on a cellular level follow the link.

Now it's time to get serious about Bodybuilding. You have the motivation and a pass to the gym. Now it's time to get the know how.

It's time to push your body to limits you've never known before. This is something you want so go out there and get it!

The best place to start is with your workouts. I would get this dialed down before even investing in supplements. If you find you're dedicated to going to the gym and pushing yourself than get some supplements and really kill it! 

This is the time to do some planning to figure out how often you want to go to the gym and what you want to work out when you go.

Most people have a split they do. They'll separate their body into sections or parts and work out that section one day and then another section the next day and then they'll just rotate. Read up on isolation v. compound exercises to get a better understanding of how you want to split up your workouts.

There are some people who work out every muscle group every time they go to the gym but for the purposes of bodybuilding I would not suggest this to be a good idea.

I will go over 2 possible options for you that you can look into.

Bodybuilding Workout 3-Day split

The 3-day split is good because it allows you to work out each muscle group about 2 times a week. You will see a good amount of growth by doing this.

What a 3-day split means is you're going to divide your body into 3 sections

  1. Legs
  2. Pulling Muscles
  3. Pushing Muscles

You will then focus 1 entire workout on that muscle group. Then just rotate the next day. By the time you finish the 3 day rotation you can either take a rest day or you can start the rotation over again.

Bodybuilding Fitness 3-Day Split

Bodybuilding Workout 4-Day Split

This is similar to a 3-day split but allows you to better focus on certain muscle groups.

  1. Legs
  2. Chest
  3. Back and Biceps
  4. Shoulders and Triceps

This is effective because it allows you a longer time in between working out the muscles groups again. Which then allows you to hit the muscles groups harder that day. As well you can do more exercises for one muscle group in one day.

What's the take away from this?

It's simple. You decide how dedicated you are and how often you're willing to go to the gym. You need to find out what works best for you. There is no sure plan that works for everyone.

You need to look at your schedule and see how often you will realistically go to the gym and then plan accordingly. These bodybuilding workouts are just ideas that you can use to create your own plan.

If you put your mind to it and are consistent you WILL see results. I guarantee it.
